      <title>Cutting out the middle man</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Nicole and I have successfully switched from renting an apartment from a landlord to renting a house directly from a bank.  In some circles, this is referred to as home ownership.  I hear that when you rent directly from the bank, you have to pay your own maintenance costs but there might be some &amp;#8216;equity&amp;#8217; left over at the end.  We are looking forward to this &amp;#8216;equity&amp;#8217;, if it every shows it head.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Now comes the job of transplanting everything we own&amp;#8230;&lt;/p&gt;
